Hello boys and girls! Welcome back to the exciting upside-down world of Panto! This year we hit the high seas in search of adventure, buried treasure, and maybe a dance number or two. Dust off your eye-patch and tiara: it’s time to boo the baddies and cheer on the goodies at our Princess Pirate Panto!
Admission: This show free to the public!

Summer 2013
Family Hour in the Open

Bring the kids, the dog, and the picnic blanket out to beautiful Maudslay State Park! The third Saturday of every month, we will be joined by many of our good friends in the community to present storytelling, song, dance, fairytale-theater and a fun group activity, all right here in the park and all entirely free! Come make a friend, sing a song, take in some sun and get to know your park better.
Admission: free to all

Circus Smirkus: Oz incorporated!
Theater in the Open is proud to be partnering with this remarkable organization once again for our Summer fundraiser!
Grab your Ruby Slippers and click your heels together, as Circus Smirkus goes somewhere over the rainbow with a new spin on the Wizard of Oz. It will take acrobatic thinking, high-wire hearts, and courageous clowns to embark on this Emerald City Adventure! This time its all flying monkey business as we cartwheel down the yellow brick road to a new twist in the tale. Pull back the curtain and discover fun for the whole family as Circus Smirkus presents Oz Incorporated.

Orpheus

Flatbread Fundraiser!
Flatbread has hosted fundraisers for us for four years and this one promises to be yummy and fun! A portion of every pizza sold will benefit Theater in the Open.

Canterbury Tales
Directed by Beth Randall

Geoffrey Chaucer’s Middle English poem is part of our literary canon. But, did you know that it also hilarious, touching and thought-provoking? Theater in the Open dusts off this classic and brings it to life with music, spectacle and humor. Join our pilgrimage to Canterbury and hear some entertaining stories on the way.

Maudslay is Haunted
Saturday and Sunday, October 19 & 20

Gates are open from 2 – 4 PM
Theater in the Open’s notorious annual haunting of Maudslay! Join a cast of all ages for a one-hour walk through eerie vignettes, spooky sketches and haunting scenes, all in the autumn grandeur of Maudslay State Park. Discover parts of the park you never knew existed. Bring the whole family for a variety of tricks and treats.
This is a family event intended for all ages.

Admission: $5.00;Children 3 and under free
Allow for a brief walk from the parking lot and follow the Frankenstein signs. Parking in the Maudslay State Park lot, $2.00 fee.
