Theater in the Open’s notorious annual haunting of Maudslay is back! Join us at THE HAUNTED TRAIL for a walk in the park like no other—if you dare! Spooky and silly vignettes for all ages are sure to get your entire family in the Halloween spirit!

Admission is $10. Children under 4 are free! Cash and card accepted. Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather.

Located at Maudslay State Park, Newburyport, MA 01950. Follow the Theater in the Open flags from the Maudslay parking lot. Allow ten minutes to stroll to the site and $5 for parking ($20 for out-of-state vehicles). Dogs are allowed along all trails.

We have many volunteer opportunities available for Maudslay is Haunted! If you’re interested in volunteering, please fill out the volunteer form linked below.

• Performing along the trail (No experience is necessary!)

• Walking the line with some spookiness

• Box office & Golden Acorns

• Refreshments & Selling Merchandise

• Pre-trail help at the Gatehouse; make-up, costumes, and props

Maudslay is Haunted is more silly and spooky than scary, so we welcome friends of all ages to participate! We just ask that any volunteers under 12 have a chaperone with them during rehearsals and performances to keep everyone comfortable and cared for while performing.

Our first rehearsal is Saturday, September 30th from 1 - 3 pm at the Gatehouse, 1 Spring Ln. in Newburyport.

If you are only interested in volunteering during the performance weekend (box office, merchandise, refreshments, etc.) you will not need to attend any weekend meetings. We will have a Zoom check-in the week prior to the event.
